Taking place 19th-21st March 2024
We are organising a study tour to the Netherlands where we will visit sites highlighting and demonstrating the latest energy management techniques, innovations and developments in greenhouse crop growing.
This tour is suitable for protected edible, ornamental and soft fruit growers and workers.
We are arranging visits and talks on:
- The solar thermal greenhouse at Mol Freesia
- Light intensity, spectrum and energy trials at a GrowWise
- Tour of Botany BV
- DES B.V. co-located greenhouse site with biomass boiler and CO2 scrubber
- Energy management techniques at Wageningen’s Bleiswijk’s trial greenhouse
- New practises and information on air movement and dehumidification

We are hoping to get sponsorship for internal travel and other aspects of the trip to keep costs down – to be confirmed.
What you need to do:
- Organise and fund your own transport to the Netherlands
- Fund your hotel and food costs. We will book a hotel for the group at approx. £100pp per night.
Please note, there are only 20 places available, and these are limited to two people per business.
